Everyone has a mother, but not everyone is a mother. This is a photo of my mom before she was married. Her smile and warmth did not change over the years. She loved me as only a mother can, with unconditional love. And, she knew the secret to parenting was not found in having money or status or even parenting techniques. She provided the key things that every child needs – love and security. These factors enable children to be emotionally healthy and to realize their potential. I am thankful for my mother and remember her with great affection.

Hawaii When the pandemic restrictions allowed for non-essential travel, many Canadians went to Hawaii, primarily for the beaches and warmer temperatures.  It was a welcome break from the snowy, cold weather.
