Peace in Our Chaotic World Seen from space, the Earth is blue because of the liquid water on its surface. There is only one known planet with permanent bodies of water on its surface: ours. Blue calls to mind feelings of calmness or serenity and is considered peaceful, tranquil, secure, and orderly. Blue is often seen as a sign of stability. Recent current events have left us feeling anything but calm and secure. Chaos comes to mind, not stability. Whether it’s the pandemic, protests or political regimes, we are left feeling rather helpless, and sometimes hopeless. But, we can each do our part in working towards the color blue. “Peace…

Through the glass in our front door I see the beauty of our first snowfall of the season. Fresh snowflakes landed on our cedar tree and mountain ash berries, signalling the end of Autumn and the beginning of Winter.  The white snow is covering the drab and dull grey and brown landscape.
